Glenn Lowry is best known for his work as the Director of New York’s Museum of Modern Art. Having worked with the nonprofit museum for over twenty years, he has extensive experience fundraising for and managing charities. He is a former board member of the Judd Foundation and a supporter of numerous other artistic organizations.
Lowry was named a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences where he “continues a tradition of honoring intellectual achievement, leadership and creativity in all fields.” Glenn Lowry is also involved with the Clark Prize for Excellence in Arts Writing, which he presented in 2010, in addition to a $25,000 honorarium for the award winner. Finally, Lowry serves as a steering committee member for the board of the Aga Khan Award for Architecture, an award that seeks to acknowledge excellence in architectural pursuits.
