Kenneth M. Jacobs is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Lazard, the world’s leading independent financial advisory and asset management firm. Jacobs has led Lazard since November 2009. Prior to becoming Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, he was a Deputy Chairman of the firm and Chief Executive Officer of Lazard North America since 2002. He joined Lazard in 1988 after beginning his career at Goldman, Sachs & Co.
Ken Jacobs is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Brookings Institution and of the University of Chicago, and he is a member of the Council on Foreign
Relations. Since joining Lazard, he has fostered economic and educational improvement, at a local level and globally. He has advocated public policy reform through open dialogues with international political leaders.
Jacobs earned a B.A. in economics from The University of Chicago in 1980 and an M.B.A. from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 1984.
