The owner and chairman of the Washington Post Company, Donald Graham, is getting ready for a major re-branding and shift in business. Graham announced recently that he would be selling his newspaper, The Washington Post, to a different kind of Washingtonian, Jeff Bezos of Amazon.com. Graham’s company will be renamed after the sale take place later this year. Some have wondered with the newspaper gone if the Graham family will remain active in the D.C. community, as they have a long history of philanthropy. Donald Graham said that he plans on remaining in Washington, D.C. and that his family’s foundations will continue focusing on charitable giving in the region.
